You CAN Judge a Book by Its Cover!!!

The reason I say this is because its the truth. Though you cannot judge the content of the book by its cover, you can judge the quality that the book was made in. Did you know that there are book club editions that are made to look like the first editions, yet they don't quite come to par. They are made of cheaper materials, the book size is slightly off, and the dust jackets are cheaper. Therefore by looking at the book, you can tell whether it is a first edition or later edition just by checking these things. We have come across thousands of first editions and book club books and by far the first editions are nicer and of course more valuable. When a book is bound for the first time or the run of its first print, it is the first of those copies to hit the shelf and usually go home with a true fan and or collector, and they are not read but put on a shelf to admire and save to pass down. Book lovers unite and lets bring back books that make people want to buy and collect them. Like first edition leather gilt books that look amazing on a shelf and will be cherished for years to come.

With all these new age ways of reading, books are becoming less and less of a real thing. When you can just download the content on to your Nook or Kindle you probably won't ever by the hard copy unless you really enjoyed the book, but even then its doubtful. Why? I hate to say it, but books seem to be going "out of style." To us book lovers this is a sad, sad, thing. We must bring the excitement back!!!! Start collecting those first edition and collectors editions. We must save books for the sake of books! Plus there is nothing like the smell of a new, old, or worn out book! Keep traditions alive and savor books. By knowing what to look for when buying a new or old book is a knowledge in and of its self. Buy a hardcopy of your favorite book, first editions are always the best, and leave it on a shelf and watch its value rise. Then get a copy to download on your reader so that the first edition stays in mint condition. Just like in Fahrenheit 451, books have been banned, destroyed, and burned because of the content inside of them. What if you had just gone out and bought it when it first came out, you would be one of few to own the book. We must keep our history and not let it be destroyed by the digital world. No one can pass down a digital copy of To Kill a Mockingbird, but you can pass down a physical copy. Also with new wave technology coming out every year, Nooks and Kindles have to be replaced to become faster with more storage. This is also something you can't hold on to and pass down, well you could, but who would want it? All in all physical prints of books might die out if we don't care enough about them for this to happen. Cherish books, for what is inside, really cant be judge by its cover and can take you where you never have been before.
